Center for Mexican Studies Working Group Session

February 6, 2017 @ 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm

The Center for Mexican Studies (CMS) invites you to a special edition of our traditional Mexican Mondays: The first “CMS Working Group” session. This is a result of the Mexican Monday we had last year “When We Woke Up, Trump Was Already Here” (“Cuando despertamos, Trump ya estaba aquí”).

The Center for Mexican Studies invites professors, students and nonprofit organizations to discuss the implications for Mexico of the recent Executive Orders of President Trump. Our guest speakers: Eduardo Peñaloza, former Director of Mixteca and Ashley Portillo, Program Assistant at the Academy of Medical & Public Health Services, will discuss their work with immigrants in New York.

The event will take place next Monday, February 6th at 4:30 pm in the International Affairs Building (IAB), Room 802 (420 W 118th St New York, NY).

The meeting will be conducted in Spanish. It will be moderated by Ana Gonzalez.

Refreshments will follow.

This event is free and open to all public. We hope you can join us!
