Speaker:
Eduardo Moncada is Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at Barnard College, Columbia University. He has held fellowships at Brown University, Yale University, and New York University. His research interests include urban violence, the political economy of development, democracy, and subnational politics. He is the author of Cities, Business, and the Politics of Urban Violence in Latin America (Stanford University Press, 2016). Moncada has published or has work forthcoming in Journal of Comparative Politics, Studies in Comparative International Development, Ethnic and Racial Studies, and Latin American Research Review.
