As part of the New York City Consortium for Latin American Studies (NYCCLAS), ILAS sponsors Faculty Working Groups in which scholars from Columbia and NYU, as well as other area institutions, meet regularly to collaborate and dialogue on topics relevant to Latin America. Below is a list of Working Groups and meeting schedules.


New York City Workshop in Latin American History

Also of interest to Latin Americanists is The Atlantic World Workshop, a long-established group organized by the Department of History at NYU.  And NYU CLACS professors Rafael Sánchez and Carmen Medeiros have recently launched a speakers series called Modernity is from Iberia and Latin America.
