Movie Screenings for Schools
Movie screenings are effective venues by which students can learn and reflect upon a variety of different issues. The Outreach program provides support to implement series of screenings across partner schools, by offering material, curriculum drafts, and facilitators to participate in these events.

Conferences
In partnership with the Spanish Bilingual Technical Assistance Center at NYU, the outreach organizes annual conferences that bring together teachers from all over the state. The predominant angle for these conferences has been Latin American Literature, as reflected in the title: Voces Dominicanas, Voces de Mexico, and this year’s Voces Hispanas.

Museum Partnerships
Our program provides information as well as facilitators to use the cities museums as live environments from which to explore Latin America. For more information please contact Anne Bates, our museum liaison.

Student Council
This year the Outreach Program is launching its first Student Council. The council will have the opportunity to advocate for significant learning experiences related to regional issues.  Students from any school in NYC are eligible to become members.
