Lucía Caumont-Stipanicic is a doctoral fellow in the Comparative and International Education program, with a concentration in Political Science, at Teachers College, Columbia University. She holds a Master of Arts in Comparative and International Education, with a concentration in Anthropology, from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Communication, with an emphasis on Organizational Communication, from the Catholic University of Uruguay. In 2008, Lucía was awarded a full scholarship by the U.S. Department of State, the Fulbright Commission in Uruguay, and the U.S. Embassy in Uruguay to attend Ithaca College as an exchange student. Upon her return to Uruguay, she worked for her alma mater in the Department of Education, the School of Human Sciences, the Office of Institutional Communication, and the Department of Organizational Communication. During her Master’s program at TC, she was Assistant and Senior Intern at the Office of International Services, blogger for the Office of Admissions, and Graduate Assistant.
