This event/panel aims to bring Mexican alumni, who are currently part of the U.S. workforce, closer to current undergraduate and graduate students at Columbia to discuss their individual post-graduation journeys. We aim to delve deep into different processes, such as applying for a job or internship while being a student, CPT/OPT, Visas, graduate school applications, and the like.
An ISSO Officer will hopefully join us to clarify further immigration questions, while alumni dive deep into sharing their personal experiences about adjusting to their work environment and taking over professional responsibilities at their jobs.
The panel will be followed by a Q&A and networking space, where some food, appetizers, and non-alcoholic beverages will be served.
In doing this, we look forward to fostering and strengthening professional ties amongst current students and alumni. Our event is not limited to Mexican students, but it is also open to any student, regardless of his/her heritage.
