CU Cine is hosted by the Latinx Pre-Professional and Educational Network (LPEN), and the Institute of Latin American Studies (ILAS) to give students a space to talk about how the Latino community is represented in the film industry and how they are portrayed in works of the medium. The ultimate purpose is to have a healthy discussion about biases and how we can work to identify and deconstruct them while sharing a good movie and having an enjoyable break from studying.
