Join us for the event "Cuba Environmental Challenges". We will have the following panelists:
- Giselle García Castro is a Cuban filmmaker who has engaged in different film projects as a producer, assistant director and editor for international and Cuban companies. She has directed her own documentaries with a specific interest in depicting social issues in Cuba. Lista Quinta is her first feature film, and has received numerous awards.
- Dan Whittle is the Senior Attorney/Senior Director at Oceans and Energy Programs at the Environmental Defense Fund. Dan plays a leading role in EDF’s projects in Latin America and the Caribbean to promote sustainable fisheries and the conservation of coral reefs and other critical marine and coastal ecosystems. In 2000, Dan co-founded EDF’s program in Cuba.
