Roundtable 1 will feature Latino and Caribbean studies scholars, curators, and archivists discussing the state of the field, the relevance of Latinx/Caribbean archives, and the potential and challenges of the current moment. Featuring:

  • Taína Caragol, Curator of Painting and Sculpture and Latino Art and History at the National Portrait Gallery
  • Yomaira Figueroa-Vásquez, Director of the Center for Puerto Rican Studies (CENTRO) and Professor of Africana, Puerto Rican and Latino Studies at CUNY Hunter
  • Katerina Gonzalez Seligmann, Associate Professor of Literatures, Cultures and Languages & El Instituto: Institute for Latina/o, Caribbean, and Latin American Studies at the University of Connecticut
  • Mario H. Ramirez, Associate Dean and Chief Librarian at CUNY CCNY
