Join us for the event "The US Elections and its Implications for Latin America" where we will be discussing the US election and the partisan change in the executive branch. What are its political and economic consequences for the region? Which countries and policies would be prioritized? Where shall we expect to see policy change? To answer these questions, we will host a conversation with:

  • Shannon K. O’Neil, vice president, deputy director of studies, and Nelson and David Rockefeller Senior Fellow for Latin America Studies at the Council on Foreign Relations.
  • Mauricio Cárdenas, Former Colombia’s minister of finance and public credit from 2012 to 2018, currently a Visiting Senior Research Fellow at the Center on Global Energy Policy at Columbia University.

Moderated by Vicky Murillo, Director of the Institute of Latin American Studies and Professor of Political Science at Columbia University.

The event will take place through Zoom. Please register below.
