The Venezuelan displacement crisis—with over 8 million people leaving the country—is one of the largest in the world. This panel examines the humanitarian dimensions of the crisis: the successive waves of migration and their regional impact; healthcare and humanitarian assistance in transit and resettlement countries; the educational challenges facing newcomer youth; and the implications of changing U.S. asylum policy and the collapse of USAID assistance. The panel brings together expertise on migration, health, and education with a focus on both sending and receiving communities.
